Aha Moment Monday

December 30, 2013 By Jae M. Rang

Reading time 39 seconds

How accepting are we?

Someone will hand in a report saying they’ve dotted their T’s and crossed their I’s and we don’t question it.

We automatically rearranged the sentence to comply with our conditioning.

We also accept oxymorons like “Great Depression”. What was great about it?

Or if someone states they are giving their “unbiased opinion”. Is that even possible?

Maybe they suggest we “act naturally”. Really – if you’re acting are you being natural?

We accept the terminology without questioning it.

Acceptance is a good thing when you’re accepting the truth, for instance.

Or accepting an apology or an outcome or the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day.

Aha, we only grow when we challenge our conditioning.

Conditioning is like auto-pilot.

Roses are red, violets are _____. You know the poem so you automatically fill in the blanks.

Reflecting on our lives, we look at what we’ve historically accomplished and allow our conditioning to dictate what will happen next.

Perhaps today’s the day we begin to challenge that conditioning and break a few molds.

What do you seriously want?

Well, get out of your way and go get it. Lord only knows you deserve it!
