BERMUDA AVIATION SERVICES’ NEW UNIFORM DESIGN WINS GOLD AWARD FOR OAKVILLE BASED FIRM
Toronto, January 28th, 2008
Great Canadian Promotions of Oakville combined safety with style to create an unbeatable uniform for B.A.S taking the GOLD at the National Image Awards competition in Toronto.
The new branded design, a one-piece fashionable polo in a high technical fabric is comfortable in the extreme heat and professional looking for runway personnel. Combing "high-visibility green" and "aviation blue" colours with high candle power 3M striping not only met safety and comfort standards, also GOLD standard to the Image Awards judges.
"Previously it took at least two uniform pieces to meet the required standard and invariably the most important piece – the reflective vest or belt – was left in the locker room or lost. The new design eliminates that possibility." submits Gene Bean, President, BAS Group of Companies.
This is the 6th Image Award received by Great Canadian Promotions - a division of JAE associates Ltd. - for generating creative and strategic solutions to marketing objectives for clients in 6 countries. March 4, 2006, Toronto, ON
Ms. Jae M. Rang, CAS, originally from St. Catharines, received a standing ovation when she took the gavel as the 4th women Chair of the Promotional Products Association of Canada, February 13th, in Toronto.
It was at the Annual General Meeting of the 50th Anniversary Convention of PPACanada, that Ms. Rang addressed the membership, honored with the 06/07 Chair role, reflecting that "...everything has changed, yet nothing has changed...while we've grown technologically and our awareness of the world's issues is more immediate and apparent, you can still tell a company by the people it keeps."
The Promotional Products Industry is now a $2.5 billion piece of the Canadian advertising puzzle and continues to grow exponentially due to its multi-faceted communication abilities. Promotional products, used most often as rewards, incentives, premiums, branding tools, and business gifts continue to soar in popularity and effectiveness in all aspects of business.
Kurt Reckziegel, President & COO of PPACanada remarked: "Jae, besides being a consummate Promotional Product Counselor, has generously
given of her time and professional advice in numerous volunteer positions serving the Industry and the Association members. Chief amongst these are serving on the Ontario Chapter Board of Directors, including a term as president, and on the national Board of Directors for 7 years culminating in becoming Chair for 2006-07. Jae leads the fastest growing medium of the Advertising Industry and, as such, will be instrumental in setting Industry goals for the future."
The hallmark of Ms. Rang's leadership term will be her one-to-one approach understanding that "Companies don't make decisions, people do." This philosophy has driven her to help identify products and tools that serve PPAC's members primarily as individuals, then as businesses. This mind set is congruent with the promotional product industry and why this passionate belief has earned her company – Great Canadian Promotions – a prominent position in the Canadian marketplace.

HOMELESS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
December 9th, 2004
A cozy treat is on route to the "Lighthouse" shelter as a result of some creative gift budgeting by a local entrepreneur.
Great Canadian Promotions was looking for a way to thank their clients AND make a favorable donation to charity and designed totes and treasure chests that did both.
"We love to shower our clients with thank you gifts at this time of year but there are 2 problems with that." says Jae Rang, President of Great Canadian Promotions. "One, is that many corporations rightly limit the value of gifts they allow their buyers to receive and two, a straight cash donation to a charity – thought necessary and welcomed - simply doesn't offer the same "warm and fuzzy" that a personalized gift can."
The two-part gift includes a blanket-tote bag for the Lighthouse visitors, packed with some necessary amenities and a treasure box with a mini blanket and chocolate treats for the client. Both blankets are decorated with a "Stay Safe ~ Stay Warm" message.
"It's the responsibility of any business to give back to the community" adds Ms. Rang "and we're always looking for creative approaches to involve our clients, suppliers and associates in our bigger picture." The Lighthouse blanket-tote donation is a result of this combined effort and the card inside the client gift appropriately says, "...a blanket tote has been donated in your honour..."
Great Canadian Promotions, div. JAE associates Ltd., has chosen "Going the Extra Mile" as their 25th anniversary slogan. Ms. Jae M. Rang, CAS, is also a member of the Executive Board of Directors for the Promotional Products Association of Canada and a founding member of the NEWH Southern Ontario Chapter Board for women in hospitality. Ms. Rang is a Speaker and Promotional Marketing Specialist and shares her success with her family and valuable colleague, Susan Holmes.
Scouts
Jae and her team at Great Canadian promotions offer more than just solutions; they offer creative strategies that help you achieve your business goals. After a national rebranding launch, our local councils needed to ensure volunteers were consistent with the new branding while out at community and Scouting events. With over 5,000 volunteers in the three Councils our office supports, it was important for us to come up with an easy and cost effective way to have the new Scouts Canada branding be consistent while volunteers were hosting and participating in these events. Jae worked with us to come up with a creative and practical way to make this happen. By creating ‘canned’ kits that included table top signage, a donation box, a vinyl banner and a bag to carry it all in, we were able to successfully ensure the three councils were representing the Scouts Canada brand in a cohesive way. The promo kits have worked so well that we will be looking at ordering more kits in the coming months, as well as offering the kits to other councils across the country.
