There’s nothing that makes a girl feel sexier than a sweet, new pair of high heels.
But oh those sneakers make you feel healthy and energetic, don’t they?!
When I attended the World Rugby Championships in Bermuda in November, I couldn’t help but notice that there were as many girls in dresses and high heels on the football field as there were in jeans and runners. And I’d bet in a different set of circumstances the chicks in heels embrace their athletic wear and the girls in flats dress to the nines.
I doubt you’d bet against me saying all those girls own at least one pair of each.
In fact, it may not necessarily have anything to do with what others believe is appropriate, but simply what feels good!
Aha –everything in nature owns its opposite.
It’s not just about shoes.
Think about it.
You wouldn’t know an up without a down. Black wouldn’t be black without white. There’s in and there’s out, high and low, near and far, sun and darkness, love and fear, happy and sad, peace and anxiety, abundance and lack ….I could go on and on.
The point is that, we too, being creatures of nature, own opposites.
We all have tendencies to like and dislike, pull up and push down, judge and accept, give and take…….
And while opposites do exist in us all, they rarely, if ever, exist in equal proportion.
But like the shoes, it’s our choice which of the two we own more often.
So here’s my question: What is your operative word going to be for 2015?
