Don’t you wish you could be up all the time?
The reality is that everything goes in cycles – everything – including your physical energy.
Cycles can last for hours or years.
If you’re a creative type you’ve probably experienced dry spells that seem to last forever and, conversely, overwhelming creative times when rivers of ideas flow in at once.
Economic cycles are monitored and distinct. Riding the highs like they’ll always be there is as damaging as expecting the lows to be the new normal.
Judging whether a cycle is good or bad is in the mind’s eye.
Depending on how you view it, there can be failure in success and success in failure.
In the book, “The Power of Now”, Eckhart Tolle says, “You don’t need them to give you a sense of self. They are not your life – only your life situation.”
Aha – “Impermanence is a characteristic of every condition” Buddha
Clinging to a situation, possession, appearance, or relationship – identifying yourself with it – is to ignore your true
self. It’s important to be able to distinguish between your life and your life situation and not lose yourself in the conditions that you experience.
Eckhart says that your natural state is never something that you need to work hard for or struggle to attain.
Recognize a situation for what it is. Observe it, learn from it, and build yourself through it.
Most importantly, SMILE.
It’s all good.
